Convocation
Every semester, each new class of first-year students goes through an Orientation Program the week before classes begin. 听At the start of Orientation, a formal ceremony marking your official entrance into the university occurs. 听This ceremony is called Convocation. 听Convocation signifies the beginning of a student鈥檚 educational journey and by which they become members of the 海角社区 University community of scholars.听
A Word on Academic Integrity
As a member of this scholastic community, there are many benefits and also responsibilities – one of which is academic integrity. 听The Student Handbook contains a description of academic integrity and what is expected of all students at 海角社区 University. 听听听听听

鈥淎cademic honesty is expected among all 海角社区 University students and members of the 海角社区 community.听 By submitting academic work, students warrant that the work is their own and that unauthorized materials or resources were not used.听 Plagiarism, fraud, unauthorized use of resources鈥攃heating in all its forms is not tolerated.听 All members of the 海角社区 community are responsible for maintaining their own academic integrity and for reporting suspected academic dishonesty.鈥� 听听海角社区 University Student Code of Conduct.
